Mirror Lake

Location and Access

Located in Bonner County, Idaho, Mirror Lake is a gorgeous lake that is approximately 85 acres in size.

Mirror Lake does allow boating (motor restrictions apply) and has easy to access boat ramps, restrooms, and campgrounds. The boat ramps are free of charge however, the docks, restrooms, and camping ground require a small fee.

One unique fact about this location is that two films, "Dante’s Peak" and "Everyone Loves Mel," were filmed on Mirror Lake.

Fishing

There are many opportunities to catch fish out here! There are various types of fish that can be found here, including kokanee, brook trout, and rainbow trout.

Important Locations

The closest airport to Mirror Lake is the Glacier Park International Airport, which is about 200 miles away. The Northern Idaho Advanced Care Hospital is just under an hour away for easy medical access. Located about 22 miles north of Mirror Lake is where the K-12 schools will be located.

Bonner County is situated on the northern panhandle of Idaho and is home to many lakes, mountains, forests, and great communities.

Located nearby is the Mirror Lake Trail that is 1.6 miles and primarily used for a challenging hiking route.

Just a short drive away there are great restaurants for you and the family to try. With ratings of four stars or higher, The View Cafe and Forty One South Restaurant are local favorites. Then as you cross into the Sandpoint City Beach Park, you will find restaurants such as Second Avenue Pizza, Ivano’s Ristorante, or Joel’s.
